Symphony under the Stars 2021

全城矚目的太古「港樂．星夜．交響曲」載譽重臨中環海濱！香港管弦樂團聯同指揮吳懷世和大會主持Harry 哥哥，在星空下為廣大市民表演。音樂會將以舞曲為主題，港樂樂師凌顯祐以及莫思卓、華達德和施樂百更會擔任獨奏家，分別為您送上皮亞佐拉《大探戈》和安德森《號手的假期》。

Harry哥哥更在布拉姆斯《第五匈牙利舞曲》大顯身手，以鼻笛協助演出樂曲的主旋律。

The annual extravaganza, Swire Symphony Under The Stars, returns to the Central Harbourfront! The Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, joined by conductor Wilson Ng and our favourite host Harry Gor Gor, presents an exuberant programme of dazzling dance music. Four HK Phil musicians will perform as soloists – Andrew Ling (Piazzolla’s Le Grand Tango), and Christopher Moyse, Douglas Waterston and Robert Smith (Anderson’s Bugler’s Holiday).

“Brother Harry” plays the melody of J. Strauss II “Blue Danube Waltz” with a special musical instrument: Nose Flute.

沈靖韜，被譽為香港鋼琴小神童，2006年以10歲的最低年齡，贏得埃特林根國際青少年鋼琴大賽冠軍，打破郎朗(12歲)贏得同一項國際鋼琴大賽的最低年齡紀錄。

12歲的他就獲選為香港十大傑出青年。中學曾升讀拔萃男書院，之後考入哈佛大學經濟學系。今年，他繼承李嘉齡，成為香港唯一打入只有45名參賽者的第二輪比賽，雖然最終他未能進入第三輪比賽，但他已是三位香港代表表現最優秀的一位。大家一同見證這位香港本地的天才鋼琴家，如何在這個世界一流的鋼琴大賽，爭取世人的認可！

Les Choristes en Concert

Les Petits Chanteurs de Saint-Marc (法國聖馬可兒童合唱團) is a children’s choir, founded in September 1986 by Nicolas Porte. It is a mixed unit composed of seventy-five to eighty school-aged children from ten to fifteen years old. All are provided education from the Saint-Marc college in Lyon. The choir became famous after they performs in the 2004 movie Les Choristes. You may find the pure voice sung by the children what surprises the world!

Gary Burton and Chick Corea are my jazz idols. With innovative voicing and creative musical ideas, Chick Corea always inspires the world to create modern music in a pioneer way. Gary Burton is a famous percussion musician and he develops a pianistic style of four-mallet technique as an alternative to the prevailing two-mallet technique. This approach causes him to be heralded as an innovator, and his sound and technique are widely imitated.

Uehara Hiromi is the greatest jazz pianist in Japan. Listening to her energetic music, you may feel her passion to music deeply. Besides, George Gershwin’s “I’ve Got Rhythm” is another classical jazz masterpiece you must listen to.

Blind Boys of Alabama

Blind Boys of Alabama is the world-wide famous gospel band. Since all the members are blind, they name the band as Blind Boys of Alabama.
The melody of Amazing Grace of their version is totally different from the traditional hymn – Amazing Grace, though the lyrics are the same in both version. You may experience the call and response features of gospel music in this concert.

Tango 探戈音樂

Armusa recupera el concierto completo de Astor Piazzolla en 1984 en la TV Pùblica de la Democracia.

Astor Piazzola is the famous icon of Argentina tango music. His well-known composition, Libertango, is the most frequent performance pieces all over the world. Adiós Nonino is the music you should pay attention as this composition is dedicated to Piazzolla’s grandfather, who gave Piazzolla the greatest inspiration in his life.
